MORE ABOUT ME:
Hi! My name is Rebecca. I have two kids and as grateful as I am to have been blessed with what I have, my labor/birthing and postpartum was rough. I wasn't informed much about birth and labor, but thought I was told what I needed to know. I also thought my body would know exactly how to have a natural birth, but it didn't. After having a cesarean birth with my first after a long and hard labor, I desperately looked for any information I could find about having a VBAC(vaginal birth after cesarean). I realized there was so much that I didn't know before going through my first labor and delivery, and so much I still didn't know after giving birth. After trying for a VBAC and laboring again with my second, I had another cesarean birth. I am grateful for the experiences I had(now) because I believe being a Doula and helping expecting mothers and partners have the experience they dream of is exactly what I am meant to do. After having my second, my kids got RSV when my youngest was 7 weeks old and my postpartum journey got harder. My kids and family were sick for more than a year catching every illness we walked by it seemed like. My postpartum depression was so bad at the end of that year that there was a point where I knew I couldn’t continue doing what I was doing. I finally sought out help. Getting help was the greatest decision. After I was able to do some self-reflecting, physical and mental healing is when I heard about all that doulas do and can offer. I knew that that was exactly what I wanted to do because I wished that I had that extra knowledge and support during my pregnancies, births, and postpartum experiences. I want to be there for anyone who is going through the transition into parenthood throughout the entire journey in whatever way that can look like.
MamaB's Doula Services is here to offer support in many different ways. During Prenatal, Labor & Delivery, & Postpartum transitioning times. I want my services to be available to all. If you know that I would help you have the birth journey that you dream of but are afraid that you can't afford to, please reach out and I will try my best to work with you about the pricing of services.
Our services in more detail:
I provide prenatal visits where we meet or video call and talk about your pregnancy, your birth wishes, your fears, anything and everything. If I don’t have an answer for something then and there, I will have one for you within a day. I offer resources, I do the research and touch base with medical professionals, holistic healers, whatever type of medicine you are looking for and give you the information I find. I can also offer those resources from the professionals I already know as well. I offer labor and delivery services - 24/7 text & email support, 24/7 on-call call/text/email support and services from 36 weeks on. I will be there from beginning to end of your labor and delivery or for as much time as you want me there for, and however long after the baby comes. I offer physical, mental, emotional, informational, and advocacy support during this time. I can help with pain coping and different positions/methods to try and help baby move along. I offer postpartum services which are/can include in person or video call/phone call visits. I will have one if not two in person that I require just because when we are in a dark place, sometimes we don’t want to see people or have them see us. I am here to help make sure you don’t get to a the point of a bad postpartum journey and help if you are having a hard time postpartum. I have those visits set up prior to postpartum and that way you can mentally prepare that I will be showing up at the specified date/time we choose. I can help with breastfeeding, pain coping, babysitting/watching baby and your other children while you nap or run errands or anything, cook a meal, clean. Overnight doula aid so if baby is having a hard time at night or up a lot and you really need your rest, I’m there and I can help sleep train as well. I’m just here to help through all of it or any part of it. Any of these services can be bundled or used alone. Any of these services are here for you in your home, hospital, meetings in public or my home, anything that makes you comfortable.
